Verdict

Silver Band is progressing along the right lines and followed up a Thirsk success with victory in a competitive Newbury handicap earlier in the month. Tim Easterby's charge looks sure to improve again and should go well despite a 6lb rise in the weights while there is more to come from Shatarah and Water Of Life has claims on an earlier close second behind Mr Wensleydale at Warwick.
