Verdict

Lopes Dancer was placed over track and trip before struggling over 2m while Trautmann won here in November and was narrowly beaten back at the track last time when finishing in front of Thawry. But CHAMPAGNE RULES has won twice at Wolverhampton since Boxing Day and returned a clear winner on his latest start. He gets the vote in his current form given he’s won over course and distance in the past. Home Before Dusk remains unexposed and should be winning this year though may need this first start since November.
