In depth

Verdict

BRINSCALL posted one of her better efforts on debut for Richard Fahey last time out, and gets the tentative nod here, ahead of Wishbone and Love And Devotion. Previously with Tim Easterby, she was beaten by a stablemate last time out in a similar contest. The low draw here should assist her. Of the trio with an official rating she's the highest by some distance. Godolphin's Love And Devotion is rated five pounds lower, having had three runs last month with little success. She's far from the stable's star, but this doesn't look a high calibre contest. Mick Quinlan's Wishbone qualifies for a handicap mark after this, but as his only runner on the card he may be focussing more on a win than a rating. Jamie Spencer's an eye-catching booking. Support for the one debutante Path of Peace should be noted; she's a daughter of Rock of Gibraltar and could be anything, but doesn¿t have any fancy entries. It's a minimum stakes start to the afternoon for us, with marginal preference being for Brinscall.
