In depth

Verdict

Little recent form with none of the field having won this year so the best advice is to tread carefully. Kathlatino did go close to making it into the winner's circle the last day when just touched off over course and distance but is better suited by good ground, so the likely further rain would diminish her chance somewhat. She's hardly bombproof with a career record of 1-22 on the Flat and Rainford Glory would be one to take advantage if only he could produce his best all-weather form on turf, although it has to be said he really did seem to lose his way completely in four all-weather starts during the winter campaign. Amazing Blue Sky could also be a contender if finding some form but a chance is taken on KALAHARI. Lucy Wadham's charge has been off for 400 days and now has his first run for the Newmarket yard. He's impossible to assess accurately but Paul Mulrennan is a good booking, he's very lightly-raced abroad and it's interesting to see connections persevering after such an absence.
