In depth

Verdict

Promising Lead, Mango Mischief and Enforce are the shortlisted trio here with Promising Lead taken to prove her superiority in this Listed affair. Mango Mischief is a durable type, and underlined her well being with a solid effort in defeat in a similar contest at Warwick last time. She will handle the ground, but it is well over two years since she last won and she is opposed. Enforce is a daughter of Kalanisi, and has only a maiden hurdle success to her credit. However, she showed some quality on her Flat debut in this country, beaten only five lengths in a Group Three. That was only the third run here though, and she is very much an unknown quantity. Promising Lead won on her debut before looking all over the winner at York last time, before being caught close home in the testing conditions. That was a good effort, and with a little further improvement she can register her second success. Promising Lead can justify her name here.
