In depth

Verdict

Strong handling may be the key to Evangelist and she she showed great resolution to get up in a claimer on the all weather last time. The assistance of Frannie Norton is an obvious plus and another bold show can be expected if she can getaway from the stalls with the others this time. A case can also be made for Schematic after his comfortable victory in a seller at Musselburgh last time. However, his ability to cope with the extra furlong has to be taken on trust, even though he pedigree suggests that it should not be a problem. Therefore preference is for Tough Nut, who was not disgraced in better company last time and has no doubts about him getting home over the trip.
