Verdict

SOCCERJACKPOT is taken to bounce back to form at the main expense of Benandonner and Lime Tree Valley. Clive Cox's charge never got competitive in the Royal Hunt Cup despite being drawn on the stands' side but he had been progressing well prior to that and is worth another chance. He's likely to try and make all and Philip Robinson may be able to keep enough up his sleeve to keep all challengers at bay. In contrast, Jamie Spencer is likely to play his cards late in the day aboard Irish challenger Lime Tree Valley. The gelding has progressed well this season, will be suited by the conditions and can go close. Benandonner has risen 3lbs for his victory at Ripon where he displayed a good attitude to attain a fourth career success. He shouldn't be far away but could find this mark beyond him. Horatio Carter deserves respect but the handicapper may be winning that particular battle but Lindoro is on a more competitive mark these days and could get into the shake-up if enjoying the run of the race. Those are just a few of the runners in with chances but Soccerjackpot should get the run of this race and may be able to come out on top.
