Verdict

Fonterutoli is bound to be popular with backers having been placed in both starts over six furlongs and Marco Botti's colt has to be respected over an extra furlong here but he faces no easy task against LAYALI AL ANDALUS, who looks the one to be on with Cape D'Or rated the main danger. The selection made an encouraging debut, and gave every indication that he would improve for it, when staying on to take second place behind Flying Statesman in a six furlong Ayr maiden. Mark Johnston's colt is by Halling and should improve for the extra furlong today and he is hard to oppose. Turf Trivia ran well enough at Haydock on his debut last month but the faster ground today may not be ideal for the son of Alhaarth, while Green For Luck was well held at the same venue on his only start and looks best watched. Richard Hannon's runners always warrant respect and his representative, Cape D'or, should improve for his debut effort at Newmarket. Layali Al Andalus has solid claims though and Mark Johnston's colt looks the one to be on.
