M C MULDOON made a successful debut on soft ground at Nottingham then went to Longchamp for a Listed contest, again on soft going, and finished runner-up. It's difficult to see any of these rivals matching that form and his trainer must believe he'll handle the surface. Mister Ambassador showed the benefit of his opening run with a much better effort at Newbury and further progress looks guaranteed from the Scat Daddy colt, who cost E480,000 as a yearling. His stable also run Whitlock but he's been disappointing when well supported in both starts to date. Perpetrator hasn't shown much and may have to wait for a handicap and Blue Reflection disappointed at Goodwood after showing a bit of early promise.
