Verdict

Stuart Crawford sent OUR VALENTINA to Carlisle for a Class 2 mares' handicap last month and she justified strong support. She's up 6lb but this is a weaker race so she should defy the extra with JJ Slevin again on board. Miss Tiggy was returning after a very long absence when scoring over the minimum trip on heavy going at Ayr last month. She should have come on for the run and is likely to be thereabouts. Conquer Gold was in winning form over fences earlier this year but ran poorly on his return to hurdles at Ayr last month despite coming in for support. Barely Black has only had five starts and showed some improvement at Southwell while Kelso winner Reivers Lodge was taking on better opposition over a longer trip at Carlisle and was up with the pace for most of the way.
