led to 2nd, pressed leader, mistake 7th, led again 10th, ridden clear when blundered 4 out, easily
led 2nd, headed 10th, ridden to stay in touch 12th, no impression from 4 out
A very disappointing entry for this contest, with just the two runners being declared, of which we prefer Sea Ferry. Datito has had his problems, He showed plenty of promise over hurdles before then having nearly two years off through injury. He then had a year off before running at Carlisle in February, where he was pulled up. Much as he will rarely get a better chance to win a race, it could be Sea Ferry's day today. Good enough to win over hurdles, he has shown sufficient promise in two chasing runs to date to suggest that he is the one to beat.
