Aljari’s earlier success came over 7f at Southwell though he should be sharper for last month’s comeback while Magical Spirit won over the minimum trip at Beverley earlier but was beaten off today’s higher mark here last time. STAXTON was expected to do better in a tougher handicap over track and trip a fortnight ago but still looked a bit ring-rusty and gets another chance in this having won off an 8lb higher mark here last year. Athollblair Boy and Dandys Gold won over course and distance back in February with the former looking more favourably handicapped today while Burford Brown may improve on his second outing for a new yard. Edraak was very disappointing at Doncaster but Foreseeable Future is interesting make his handicap debut.
