In depth

Verdict

MEALA gets in here lightly under the race conditions and she's shown plenty of potential in strong maidens here and at Navan so looks the one to beat. The form of her third-place here last time was given an almighty boost when the runner-up won a Group 3 next time. Vafortino ran very well in a maiden over an extended 5f on the latter track though conceding the selection 6lb won't be easy but San Martino will be much better for his run at Bellewstown last week where he pulled too hard. Rebel Step was staying on well over 6f at Naas though the main threat could come from Noble Seal, who got no sort of run over the track and trip last month before staying on strongly. Ebeneezer Perry is by first-season sire Territories and could have been found an easier opportunity for his debut.
