Verdict

Another open contest rounds off the card with many in form rivals in opposition including Dorothy's Friend, Katmandu and Mr Fortywinks and the confident vote goes to Dorothy's Friend. The three year old has shown improved form since being stepped up in trip and if he sees out this two mile trip he will be hard to beat. He gave the impression he would stay this far when defeating Anak Pekan at Kempton on Saturday and with conditions again in his favour he is taken to score. Katmandu rates the main danger despite top weight he was a fair fourth behind Jadeeron last time doing all his best work at the finish. He is another that is sure to be suited by the step up in trip and has definite place claims. Mr Fortywinks would also have a chance on his best form but he gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him when fourth behind Faraway Lady so for that reason he is opposed on this occasion. Of the remainder Minivet is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but the confident vote goes to the bang in form Dorothy's Friend.
