NEWBERRY NEW (NAP) gave notice of a big run when fourth here last month and duly obliged on his latest outing when returning a wide-margin winner over course and distance. An 8lb rise may not be enough to anchor him in this. Casual Cavalier showed further progress when scoring over a shorter trip on the same card as the selection and looks a threat if lasting home while Purple Harry returned to form with a victory over 3m2f at Carlisle last time but has a 10lb hike in the weights to contend with. No No Mac and Iskabeg Lane are other recent winners though on faster going and the former is also upped in class while Inchcolm has won four of his last six starts and is not out of this either.
