In depth

Verdict

This is another modest event and The Gleaner could be up to the task, Speedro and In Dreams are also worthy of a mention. Having landed a bumper, the selection made little impact on his hurdles debut. However he improved dramatically to chase home a Howard Johnson runner last time out. There should be plenty more in the locker and he should be capable of beating this poor lot. In Dreams has yet to win any sort of race but has gone close on numerous occasions. There is no reason why he shouldn't be involved in the finish again this afternoon. Another exposed runner is Speedro, who boasts solid handicap form. He is knocking on in years but should still be capable of making a race of it. It is hard to enthuse about any of the others and so we return to The Gleaner for our choice.
