Verdict

Ben's Folly has proved a money-spinner over hurdles and races off the same mark as when successful over the smaller obstacles at Ffos Las on Boxing Day. He tackles fences for the first time today but has a chasing pedigree and shouldn't be discounted. Red Rouble has twice finished second over 3m at Ffos Las but probably needs a bit of help from the handicapper and more interesting are Hereford scorer Way Back When and NIGHT ALLIANCE. Richard Newland's six-year-old finished strongly off a fast pace to get off the mark at Cheltenham earlier this month and is fancied to follow up here.
