Verdict

Harry Tricker is a horse to watch in the betting however SQUADRON's form stacks up better than Lego blocks and he gets the vote ahead of Khyber Kim and the unbeaten Prince Taime. Alan King's gelding has already had a profitable season and was in the process of running a very big race in the Greatwood at Cheltenham when hampered jumping the second last. That was enough for him to lose momentum but what that run did show was that he can be competitive off this mark of 137. Khyber Kim returns to the track and he is a talented gelding. He was put in his place but Captain Cee Bee and Pierrot Lunaire last season but he could go on to better things this season for his new yard. Khachaturian is game and is not to be taken lightly from the front but he looks high enough in the weights, Luxurix is unexposed and represents powerful connections, whilst Pires and Finns Cross are two Irish runners to be wary of. Prince Taime is yet to taste defeat; all three of his wins have come at small tracks but whilst this is a massive step up in class, a big run would not be a huge surprise. Hot Diamond is consistent and is likely to run his race again, however it is Squadron who can fly home.
