      Verdict

A poor handicap where last time seller winner SAMURAI WARRIOR is perhaps capable of following up back in this sphere and from a 4lb higher mark, while Wakita can give him most to do. The selection looked as though he might even have a bit in hand when seeing off Blue Charm over course and distance last time, so from this higher mark he might still be fairly handicapped. Clearly, track and trip suit, and if he can overcome a wide enough draw then we'll take him to score. Wakita was a 9f winner here a couple of starts ago before a 7lb rise found her out last time. She has a better draw here from stall five and although she has not yet shown enough speed to win over this trip when previously tried she is probably capable of making the frame. City For Conquest likes it here but has previously been kept to five and six furlongs and it remains to be seen whether he has the stamina for this extra furlong. One possible positive for supporters is that he has won over 6f on the slower Fibresand surface so he may last home. Karate Queen has shown glimpses of form and may have the ability to get involved for the minors, but little else appeals and we'll take Samurai Warrior to score.
