In depth

Verdict

Above All originally held a Royal Lodge entry and started life in a Conditions contest at Kempton, suggesting he's well regarded, and could figure prominently if consenting to settle for new jockey Richard Hills. He's considered almost as interesting as our selection PUTTINGONTHESTYLE who wasn't given a hard time once beaten having been poorly drawn on debut. He's related to juvenile winner Morse and could do better with that run behind him with softening conditions likely to suit. Brian Meehan saddles two newcomers in Warneford and Ninth Parallel. The latter is Derby-entered and may do better given time so Warneford is preferred and indeed will need to win this to justify a Racing Post Trophy entry. Slumber has no fancies entries but would be of interest if supported while Encore Une Annee is worth keeping an eye on for the future.
