Piazza San Pietro would be of serious interest if the ground quickens up as he's running off the same mark as when narrowly beaten in better races of late, but providing conditions are on the soft side our preference is for DORIC LADY. The selection advertised at Yarmouth that she's edging back in to form and she's won off this mark in the past. All five victories have come for this rider so her return is a bonus and she seems sure to run well. Equuleus Pictor has a couple of lengths to find with her on that Yarmouth run but is edging back to form and could be hard to pass while Sohraab remains well-handicapped on his best form and like Present Alchemy and Poppy Seed would come into the reckoning if there's a change to the going report. The enigmatic Matsunosuke, Living It Large and Whozthecat try various types of headgear while Russian Spirit has races in her and can't be ignored.
