In depth

Verdict

Cyborg has found one too good in each of his two starts so far, latterly when given too much to do behind Calaficial on the Polytrack at Lingfield and David Elsworth's gelding is taken to go one better back on turf today, getting the verdict ahead of Ffos Las Diamond and Shabenito. The last mentioned is related to winners and, being trained by Alan King, has to be respected on his racecourse debut. Nicky Henderson's Fiftyonefiftyone is similarly well related and is another newcomer worthy of a mention. Simply Blue is more experienced than most but does need to improve to trouble the judge, while a market move for Lucky Parker would be of interest. Ffos Las Diamond has shown a reasonable level of form but it does not match up that of Cyborg, who gets the vote.
