In depth

Verdict

Mister Mustard won a moderate bumper in bottomless ground at Ascot last month and will encounter much different conditions here, while the ex-Irish The Norwich Fly, may also find the ground faster than ideal. Moscow Fields will know more this time and is respected, as is Without A Doubt, who was just behind him here earlier this month. However, Lord Buckingham, who was further behind that day is taken to come out on top this time. Made favourite for that event, Lord Buckingham travelled strongly for a long way before getting tired in the ground. This faster surface will suit him much better and he is taken to gain compensation. Of the newcomers Blue Americo, who comes from a good jumping family, Silver Chieftan, who is out of a mare that won five races in Ireland and Yardbird, who has a flat race pedigree, are others to consider.
