This is normally an informative contest and Marcus Tregoning won it last year with Cavaleiro, ridden by Richard Mullen. Altruism, Etijaah and Wentworth all won after an initial pipe-opener. The latter's victory at York has already been franked and he should go well but has to give 4lb to CHIEF HAVOC. Impeccably bred, he was very green on debut at Kempton and a host of fancy entries suggest Jeremy Noseda is expecting him to leave that form well behind in future. He gets the vote though Another Cocktail is improving with experience and Dark Emerald overcame an absence to score at Leicester.
