In depth

Verdict

IT'S NOT UNUSUAL was arguably a little disappointing on debut insofar as she was sent off a 3/1 shot so more was possibly expected but she was not given the hardest of times once it was clear she was not a potential winner. Roger Charlton builds juveniles up gradually and it would not surprise to see her improve significantly on what still rated a satisfactory enough first effort. Jane Rose failed to build on a solid debut but deserves another chance and Kodiac Express is respected but looks to be stepping up in grade. There are some interesting newcomers to be taken into account as is now going to be the case in the juvenile division for the rest of the campaign with Elation, Mayyasah and Mushahadaat making most appeal on paper and preferred in that order.
