In depth

Verdict

Several of these have something to prove at present including Snow Trooper, who has been in fair form on the all-weather but showed nothing in two starts on turf last year. Winged Valkyrie faces a stiff task under top weight while Destiny Of Dreams didn't appear to be progressing when last seen on the Polytrack in April. Silly Billy looks too high in the weights but there are possibilities about Nottingham fourth Spade in first-time blinkers, though HIGH ON THE HOG is marginally preferred. A strong traveller, he doesn't always produce as much as expected off the bridle but Jimmy Fortune should be able to find plenty of cover in this field and John Dunlop's colt has run well enough in two starts this year to suggest he can take this off a mark of 65.
