Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Rosarian has a good season and, even though he has to concede penalties, ought to go well. Wincanton winner Flying Fortune will have to improve on the bare level of his form. Keep On Running surprised connections with his debut win but then flopped next time after getting worked up in the preliminaries. Master George hasn't really progressed since winning on heavy at Ascot in November. He has yet to prove he stays this far. It would be hard to make a case for Niki Dee's brother, Atalanta Surprise, while Dantes Wager has been well held on his two runs to date. Daretobedifferent was in the process of running a good race when falling at Exeter last time and has scope for improvement. El Hombre del Rio is consistent and will stay this trip and has place claims again. Faugere was flattered to finish so close to Palua at Folkestone on his debut under Rules but is also another to consider. Inlet showed promise on his debut but has been well held since. He has scope for improvement and takes a big step up in trip today. Majestic Bay is another who has been running consistently and has to be considered. Also, one of his Flat wins came at this track on good to firm. Nurzyk won on the Flat in Poland as a three-year-old but has shown very little in two starts in Britain. Sir Mouse is bred to stay well and could improve for the step up in trip. He showed promise on his debut but was not seen again until earlier in the month. He should strip fitter for that and has also to be considered. It is not an easy race to weigh up as the race seems to lack strength in depth. Rosarian could well head the market but, seeing that he raced a little lazily at Newbury last time, we'll look for a bit of value. As such, we go for Sir Mouse as an each-way option.
