Verdict

Zafeen confirmed debut promise when landing a Salisbury maiden in good style and showed that he is very much on the upgrade when runner-up behind Elusive City in the Group 1 Prix Morny last month. Mick Channon's charge has nothing to fear from Al Turf (fifth) on identical terms and is the TEAMtalk selection to lift this valuable prize. Cassis was only narrowly denied glory in the Cherry Hinton and may not have been suited by the testing conditions at The Curragh last month so has to be respected, along with Miguel Cervantes who got off the mark in good style at the same venue recently but Norfolk Stakes hero Baron's Pit has something to prove now having been well below par at Goodwood last time.
