In depth

Verdict

A tough maiden here and as usual in these events the market may well tell all but the principals look to be Silca Elegance, Velocitys Gift and Zaahid and the vote is given to Silca Elegance. The selection was a fair sixth on his debut behind Yeman's Hall despite being very green, he is sure to have learnt from the experience and given nominal improvement looks the one to be on. Velocitys Gift rates the main danger on his debut eighth behind Snaafy but he gave the impression he would be suited by a longer trip on that occasion and is taken on with this in mind. Zaahid shaped with promise last season and has reportedly strengthened up in the winter so is worth a cautionary look in the market but for the winner we are happy to return to Silca Elegance.
