Verdict

Only five of the 16 runners for this one-mile rated stakes have raced previously this term so the fitness of the other participants will have to be taken on trust. Rafferty has more to do than when winning a Warwick maiden on his reappearance, while another to win on his first start of the year Commanding, has only a 3lb penalty to carry for a success in a competitive race at Kempton. Amanda Perrett's lightweight should again be in the shake-up. Allenby finished last season in good form but, along with Amour Sans Fin, would prefer a softer surface and a better bet among the reappearing runners could be Marcus Tregoning's Tramonto. She too ended last term in good form, her stable is beginning to find the winners now and on suitable fast ground the daughter of Sri Pekan has plenty going for her.
