In depth

Verdict

Tiggy Wiggy is very speedy and was almost unbeatable over 5f and 6f last season. But whether she'll last this extra furlong is anybody's guess, though she does have entries in the 1000 Guineas and the Irish version as does the maiden Shagah. The latter was only beaten a neck by Russian Punch in a Listed race on soft ground over course and distance in the autumn when Lacing and Silver Rainbow were well behind. Kempton maiden winners Jellicle Ball and REDSTART also have entries at Newmarket and are open to plenty of improvement. The latter is trained by Ralph Beckett, who knows what it takes to land this Group 3 having saddled two of the last five winners. His filly is a daughter of English and Irish 2000 Guineas winner Cockney Rebel so has plenty in her favour. Royal Razalma was consistent last year and beat Air Of Mystery at Newmarket in October, though will probably be best at sprint distances this season.
