Verdict

Excellent Art lost no caste in defeat in the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville last time and is taken to gain a deserved success here at the main expense of Doctor Brown and Bahama Mama. The last mentioned ran better at York last time, is likely to have similar ground conditions and, with the Noseda yard coming out of the doldrums, she has to be respected. Bodes Galaxy is beginning to look exposed now, while the Barry Hills-trained Prime Defender is strictly held by Doctor Brown on York running last time. Brian Meehan's colt has to be respected on that evidence but Excellent Art has an obvious chance and he gets the vote.
