In depth

Verdict

There are some interesting newcomers for this big-field maiden including Brian Meehan's pair Siamese Cat and Cinquante Cinq plus the Michael Jarvis-trained Rasaman but the vote goes to Endiamo, who is taken to make his experience tell. The selection stepped up on his debut effort when chasing home Prince Of Elegance at Goodwood last time and, with more improvement to come, he gets the vote. Paul Cole's Thunder Storm Cat showed promise on his Wolverhampton debut over seven furlongs and has to be of interest although the drop back in trip may not be ideal. Peter Makin's Longquan has shown a similar level of form in all three starts and can again be expected to be thereabouts but preference is for Endiamo, who looks to have the better form and may be open to more improvement
