Scottish was nicely progressive last season and has some solid form including a Listed victory at Ascot in September, but has been off the track since disappointing on his first run for Godolphin in May. Gm Hopkins is capable of winning in this grade, but his best form has come over shorter, and while this is an interesting entry for last year's Ascot Gold Cup winner Trip To Paris, he’s entitled to come on for the run over an inadequate trip. In an intriguing contest, improving handicapper SPARK PLUG could be the answer. He coped with the step up to Listed class at Sandown last time and will be ideally suited by conditions here.
