No three-year-old has won this in six renewals but recent Tipperary winner KANES PASS, who has a 7lb rise to contend with, could be good enough as the older horses look moderate in the extreme. He holds Lake Wanaka on that run but Dream Applause ran his best race so far over this C&D on soft ground and hasn't taken to Polytrack in subsequent starts. Ucanchoose shot up the weights after completing a double last summer so it could be another from the younger brigade, Gilt Edge, who will be making his handicap debut after three runs at Dundalk, that can follow the selection home.
