In depth

Verdict

Bale O'Shea was badly handicapped at Sedgefield last time yet still started favourite on the strength of his victory in a big field over this C&D previously. He may be a few pounds high in the weights at present, a remark that also applies to Imperial Shabra. Kilbrannish Hill hasn't had much experience but there was plenty to like about his run behind Montan on his reappearance at Down Royal and he's on the upgrade. The four-year-old One Fine Morning makes his handicap bow and will have come on for his all-the-way success in a Galway maiden while the useful chaser Northern Alliance is rated 25lb lower over timber and Tony Martin will have him ripe for this. Bruach Na Mara needs further though the conditions will help but this can go to MUBROOK, who has had just four runs over timber for Edward O'Grady since arriving from the UK but has done well and a recent spin on the Flat at Galway will have put him straight.
