In depth

Verdict

WHISPERING SPIRIT has mainly raced on the Polytrack lately but is only a pound higher than when second over 7f in a non-seller at Newcastle last month. Ann Duffield's consistent five-year-old is well drawn today and is probably the one to beat. Jupiter Fidius could be interesting dropping into this grade for the first time since finishing third at Thirsk in August, but Kalahaag has been most disappointing since winning a Goodwood maiden as a two-year-old and a first-time visor may not be enough inspiration for Just Five to regain the winning thread.
