Verdict

Choisan was fourth in a decent maiden at Doncaster on Friday and continues to run well. But, after nine starts, it's difficult to believe he won't find at least one of today's rivals more progressive. Sparkling Portrait is an interesting newcomer while Golden Halo was only beaten a head at Roscommon last month. Clon Brulee and Star Date are both open to improvement but BROCKWELL caught the eye in a better race at York on debut. Today's extra furlong is very much in his favour and he should prove hard to beat.
