In depth

Verdict

A 5lb rise in the weights for his latest win puts Los Nadis on a stiff mark and preference is for TILLIETUDLEM ahead of Mesbaah who has ground concerns. Despite being in her first season over timber, the selection has already made quite an impression, winning at Bangor and Perth. Her trainer is evidently not scared of pitching her into a competitive handicap hurdle against older and wiser rivals and with the 15lb weight-for-age allowance she certainly enters equations. As does Houston Dynimo; his run behind Red Moloney in February stands out and he should come on for a recent Kelso outing. Poseidon has a good record at the track and should have ideal conditions today, Golden Future was too keen last time out, whilst Danny Zuko represents an in-form yard but his profile is frustrating. Of more interest is Mesbaah who should be fit after a recent spin at Catterick. He has been progressing well over hurdles but all of his form (flat and jumps) suggests that he wouldn't want any further rain. Nivek's Dream steps out of maiden company for the first time, Sea Storm is consistent but not well-handicapped, whilst Along The Nile's course form, and especially a second to European Dream last February, gives him every chance. Amazing King is edging down to a winnable mark, however it is Tillietudlem who looks worth chancing.
