In depth

Verdict

THE PADDY PREMIUM can take this despite the Ireland-to-England handicap rise; Currahee, Still At Lunch and Prince Picasso strike as the main dangers. The selection has been in consistent form of late with two good efforts at Limerick sandwiching a win at Wexford. He looks to have ideal conditions this afternoon and can make a bold bid for Ireland. All For The Cause carries top-weight today and comes here on the back of a good effort over fences at Kelso, Border Tale was narrowly denied at Haydock last time out and has a 4lb rise in the weights as a result, whilst Currahee was brought down at an early stage at Wetherby last time out. Still At Lunch has won two of his last three but both those wins have come at Kelso and he is now 19lb higher than the first success. Prince Picasso is starting to look attractively handicapped, Wizard Of Us is open to more improvement on this slightly better ground, whilst Irish Poli and Union Sundown are two more Irish contenders who look interesting at the right end of the weights. Another open affair, however we are inclined to side with The Paddy Premium.
