In depth

Verdict

MULLAGHMURPHY BLUE (NAP) is two from two here and difficult to oppose despite an 11lb rise for his latest victory when he jumped well and pulled 16 lengths clear of Cousin Oscar, whose yard oppose this time with Middlebrow. An earlier winner at Catterick, the latter was the only one backed against the odds-on Lake Field next time but was brought down before the race developed. Martiloo is back in the right grade but high enough in the weights now and dual course winner Pot Committed makes his chasing bow having been pulled up again on his reappearance.
