Verdict

Nick Slatter was in the saddle when the quirky SUD PACIFIQUE was only beaten a nose at Cheltenham in April last year off a 2lb higher mark. He probably won't get a better chance to end his losing run than in this so gets a tentative vote ahead of Call Box, who beat Los Nadis by eight lengths over track and trip last month and should confirm the form. Rumble of Thunder is starting to come down the weights again and could play a part but Scots Gaelic quickly downed tools at Fakenham last time and Tom Wade may need this. Golden Sparkle has shown nothing this season and is best watched until hinting at a revival.
