Lostock Hall should improve with last month’s comeback fourth at Kelso under his belt and can confirm latest running with Highway Companion though both have something to prove over this longer trip. Irish mare Pat's Pearl has been chasing but placed at Downpatrick when last over hurdles while Gemologist had gone close over a shorter trip here before struggling over course and distance when PAMMI finished third. Still unexposed over timber, the latter can race off the same mark today and Jim Goldie’s filly may well prove good enough with any further progress.
