EASTERN ANTHEM won this last year and is a tentative selection in a wide-open renewal. There is clearly little between the selection and Jukebox Jury on their Cologne run in the autumn but we know Eastern Carnival goes well fresh and crucially on this fast ground. Buena Vista is a fascinating contender for Japan and clearly a player while Spanish Moon looks the pick of the British raiders. His fourth in the Breeders' Cup Turf was a solid effort but did seem to signal the end of his progression. Youmzain and Cavalryman both need more cut in the ground but Pan River ran well behind Campanologist in his prep race and he has a good turn of foot.
