In depth

Verdict

Santera, Romping Home and Dabaratsa are the three to look at here, with Santera, an impressive winner at Doncaster in a similar contest, taken to follow up. Dabaratsa won at this level recently, and has been outclassed back in handicap company since. This will be easier, but a watching brief is advised to see if she can return to form. Romping Home has been running over fences of late, but her previous hurdling efforts command respect. It may take her a run however to re-acclimatise herself with the smaller obstacles, and she also concedes weight all round. Santera won on her first outing for nine months at Doncaster, and did so in fine style. She seems well in here, having taken a handicap hurdle last year, and Santera can score again.
