In depth

Verdict

None of the field have been in exactly sparkling form of late, but Cesium appears to hold the best form credentials, and is taken to get the better of Glimmer of Light and Shindig. The last named is yet to score over the bigger obstacles, but ran a decent race at Ludlow recently. This race may not take much winning though, and that improved effort suggests he can play a part here. Glimmer of Light is racing off a 12lb lower mark than when last successful in May, and his runs are improving slightly. He was well beaten in third at Market Rasen, but a further drop in the weights here means he cannot be ruled out. Cesium has won two of his last four starts, and after being a decisive winner, two outings ago, he made a bad mistake at the fourth from home last time, though keeping on well to be third. His form looks to be the most solid, and Cesium can make it three wins from five.
