In depth

Verdict

Barathea Blue gets the nod over Mylo, Cullian and Thedublinpubilcan, with Caveman also worth a mention. Barathea Blue failed to get his head in front over hurdles, but looked a different proposition on his chase debut here a fortnight ago, finishing second to Silver Dagger, and a similar effort today should see him go close to breaking his duck. Mylo has won over hurdles here in the past but has topweight to contend with, while Cullian put in a good round of jumping when scoring at Worcester last time, and on that form she should safely hold the third, Caveman at least. Thedublinpublican scored at Wetherby in May but has struggled off his higher mark in two subsequent outings, and with the rest hard to fancy, we return to Barathea Blue as the pick on the back of his promising run last time.
