Verdict

Beau Sancy has gone up another 4lb since beaten at Ayr and will have his stamina to prove. Fontwell winner Mortens Leam also has much to prove regards distance and Ange Des Malberaux has been found wanting when tried beyond 3m in the past but Late Romantic was staying on when second at Newcastle and Just Georgie should last home. Shady Glen has dropped to a fair mark but Bob Ford doesn’t seem to find much off the bridle nowadays, though has had wind surgery. EMERALD ROSE is 5lb higher than when third in this last year but Julian Smith’s mare produced an even better effort when winning over 3m5f at Fakenham in May and a recent third at Bangor should have put her spot-on for this. Zerachiel is another sound stayer much respected on his win at Haydock in March, even though he is 11lb higher now.
