This should be an informative contest in that Willie Mullins saddles the hurdling newcomer Mixmoon, bought by J P McManus after running on the Flat in France in February. The owner also runs Fine Brunello, a winning bumper in France before a decent fourth in a Listed hurdle at Auteuil. Future Proof was a close third to the smart Coeur Sublime on his hurdling bow then met another promising type when runner-up at Gowran so looks certain to get into contention but those who saw BAND OF OUTLAWS finish third to Maze Runner at Cork won't want to miss him. Joseph O'Brien's charge blundered his way around that day so it was a great credit to him that he was only beaten a fast-finishing length behind a useful winner.
