Verdict

This novice hurdle looks a match between KARASENIR and Union Island with the first mentioned getting the call. The Philip Hobbs runner was progressive in bumpers last term and was clear with the winner in his final appearance so in all likelihood will be better now jumping obstacles. Union Island was useful enough on the flat racing off marks in the mid-eighties and although he comes into this sphere after a poor run in that code he has joined a top yard so there could be improvement to come. Alan King's other entry Wild Desert looks best of the rest after a promising hurdles debut and some decent runs on the level but Karasenir looks to be heading in the right direction.
